HEPA Filter Leak Testing

HEPA (High Efficiency Particulate Air) Filters are used in applications where the cleanest of air is required. By definition, a HEPA filter is a throwaway extended, minimum, dry type filter in a rigid frame, having a minimum particle collection efficiency of 99.97% on 0.3 microns particles of thermally generated DOP (Di-Octyl Phthalate) or specified alternative aerosol.

In accordance with regulatory standards,

Primary Tests (must pass to be certified)

  • Upstream aerosol challenge concentration
  • Acceptable design leakage percentage
  • Actual leakage measured
  • Pass or fail
